Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo Shifts Focus to Real Estate Development After 40 Years of Gospel Preaching

After dedicating more than four decades to preaching the Christian gospel, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, the seasoned founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), has embarked on a new venture in the realm of real estate.

Having recently retired from his full-time ministry, the renowned televangelist has made a significant transition into becoming a prominent figure in Lagos’ real estate landscape.

While Pastor Ashimolowo’s interest in real estate dates back to his early years, notably with the acquisition of a small parcel of land at the age of 27, his journey has evolved to encompass a sprawling 900-acre expanse in the Mowe area of Ogun State.

Over the years, he has developed six estates within this region before expanding his real estate portfolio to include various plots in the Ibeju Lekki coastal area of Lagos.

His influence extends beyond mere property ownership, as he possesses a number of properties within the upscale Pinnoch Estate in Lekki, Lagos, where he resides in an opulent, technologically advanced mansion.

Furthermore, Pastor Ashimolowo has acquired extensive land holdings scattered throughout Lagos.

Notably, Pastor Ashimolowo is currently overseeing the creation of one of Lagos’ most prominent luxury estates, named Makarios, which is poised to rival the grandeur of Dubai Marina.

This visionary endeavor spans an impressive 95 acres, attracting affluent individuals who are eagerly purchasing service plots within its grounds.

Makarios Luxury Properties, the brainchild of Pastor Ashimolowo, envisions a development comprising multi-story high-rise buildings, 192 terrace houses, and 18 detached residences upon completion.

This ambitious project is being executed by a reputable German company, reflecting the dedication and meticulous planning behind its construction.

Pastor Ashimolowo has designated nearly 300 parcels of land within the Makarios luxury estate for sale, underscoring his commitment to its growth and success.

While a dedicated full-time pastor manages the Lagos branch of his church, Pastor Ashimolowo’s firstborn, Tobi, is at the helm of responsibilities for the London branch and headquarters.
