Pastor Remanded For Raping Two Church Member

Pastor Remanded For Raping Two Church Member. Ikeja’s Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has remanded Bishop Daniel Oluwafeyiropo, founder of the ‘I Reign Christian Ministry’, for reportedly raping two of his church members whose identities are being withheld.

The defendant has been placed in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.

Justice Ramon Oshodi ruled that one of the sureties must own landed property in Lagos State that would cover the bail sum, and that the original document of the property shall be submitted to the chief registrar of Lagos State.

The sureties are also required to reside within the court’s jurisdiction and must have three years of tax payment to Lagos state.

The judge has ordered the defendant to deposit his international passport with the chief registrar of the court, and the case is to be heard expeditiously.

Bishop Oluwafeyiropo had earlier pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of rape which contravened Sections 260 (2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

Reports from the prosecution claim that the defendant committed the crimes in June 2020 on the Ikota Villa Estate, Lekki, Lagos.
