As battles continue to rage into the second week, many foreign countries have made efforts to evacuate their citizens.

According to the reports by PRISTINEGIST, the Nigerian Federal Government has stated that they are making arrangements to evacuate around 5,500 of their stranded citizens from Sudan with the aid of Egypt.

The Nigerian government has reached out to Egypt to allow for the movement of the stranded citizens to nearby Luxor for their safe removal.

In a video that is circulating online, students from Nigeria are shown in a large clearing with their luggage packed, waiting to be assisted in their evacuation from the crisis-ridden country.

Citizens watch helplessly amidst continuing battles between fighters on opposing sides, as well as the exodus of foreign citizens who wisely opt to leave the area for their own safety.

The situation has taken a toll on the mental and physical well-being of everyone involved in the crisis, and the hopes of those stranded in the area rest on being able to depart the land as soon as possible.
