Police Arrest Man Who Absconded After Stabbing His Mother To Death
LONDON — A 22-year-old man, Ibrahim Musa, who killed his mother by stabbing her at their home in Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, has been arrested by the police, PRISTINEGIST reports.
The police had been looking for the suspect since the incident. The spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday, May 5, 2023, said the suspect was caught at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tota LGA on Thursday night.
The PPRO said the suspect admitted to the murder and also to being involved in illegal drug dealing. The statement read;
“On the 4th May 2023 at about 2200hrs (10pm), Ibrahim Musa, ‘m’, 22 years old was caught at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa LGA, Kano State after killing his 50-year-old biological mother by stabbing her at Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.
“The suspect confessed to the murder and also confessed to being involved in illegal drug dealing. He will be taken to court after the investigation is completed,”
“The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc thanked those that provided information that led to the arrest and praised the Police Tactical Teams that ensured that the culprit is brought to justice.”
