Kwara police sergeant murders self and lover
In the Kwara state capital of Ilorin, a police sergeant killed his female lover before killing himself in a school.

According to reports, the event took place at the Redemption Model Nursery and Primary School, which is located in the Agba Dam Housing Estate in Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin, at the Chapel of Redemption.

Olalere Michael, a soldier in the 15 PMF in Ilorin, was the name of the MOPOL sergeant.

He also served as a security guard for the police command at the Ilorin administration building for the Kwara state.

Locals claimed to the media that the deceased policeman followed the woman to the school, where She dropped off her daughter before beginning to shoot.

In his Toyota Corolla, the police arrived on the school grounds a few minutes before his female acquaintance, who had driven her kid there.

“He pulled out his AK-47 weapon and fired three close-range shots into Tosin’s chest, killing her instantly. She went to school with a friend who then fled.

He then shot himself in the throat, which caused some of his head to blow off, a local told journalists.

Neighbors claimed that due to an unsolved issue, he went to the family house of the woman he killed on Erin Ile Road in Gaa Akanbi a few days prior and assaulted her with a cutlass.

When reporters visited the deceased’s home, her older sister, who was still inconsolable, was unable to speak to them.

She said, “I can say anything now, please,” to the newsmen.

The event was the “aftermath of love gone sour,” according to Okasanmi Ajayi, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), and had nothing to do with police violence.

The corpses were recovered from the scene and brought to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where the bodies were declared dead, according to Okasanmi. “Right away after the information reached the command, the Commissioner of Police, Paul Odama, dispatched a team of policemen and detectives to the scene,” she said.

The investigation into this terrible situation is still ongoing, and as soon as it is finished, a report will be made public.
