Private Jet Carrying VIPs Safely Crash-Lands at Ibadan Airport

At the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, a private jet with 10 occupants, including Very Important Personalities (VIPs), crash-landed around 11 am on Friday. The jet, identified with registration number N580KR, veered off the runway and into a nearby bush.

Emergency response teams, including firefighters and officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, all onboard passengers emerged unharmed from the incident.

Carol Adekotujo, a spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), confirmed the occurrence, stating, “It was a private plane from Abuja. It landed safely but overshot the runway. There was no casualty.”

While awaiting further details from the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, spokesperson Tunji Oketunmbi had not provided additional information at the time of this report.

Despite the dramatic nature of the crash landing, the quick response of emergency teams ensured the safety of the passengers, preventing any loss of life or injuries.
