Saliu Suleiman Dogo Signs Two-Year Deal with Bendel Insurance

Former Kwara United and ABS  goalkeeper, Saliu Suleiman Dogo, has officially signed a two-year contract with Bendel Insurance. The deal marks a significant move in his football career.

Speaking about his decision, Saliu revealed that he had received numerous offers before ultimately choosing Bendel Insurance. “I had many offers leading up to the day I signed with Insurance, but I believe this is the best option for me,” he said.

Despite his new commitment, Saliu expressed his ongoing respect for Kwara United, emphasizing his strong ties to the club. “I don’t have any issues with Kwara United; it’s my home team as I’m an indigene of Kwara State, and in fact, a son of a traditional ruler,” he stated.

Saliu also shared his ambitions for the upcoming season, saying, “I want to have a good season here and win the Nigeria Professional Football League, as well as earn some individual awards.”

Saliu was between the posts for Bendel Insurance yesterday in a preseason tournament match against Kwara United in Bayelsa State, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

A product of the Kwara Football Academy, Saliu’s career began to rise in 2007 when he traveled to the Netherlands with coach Clemens Westerhof. He has since played for ABS FC, Ocean Boys, Sunshine Stars, Wikki Tourist, and Kwara United.
