Security Operatives Rescue 4 Girls Forcefully Married Off By Odumodu
In a swift move by security operatives in Orsu local government area of Imo state, a terror kingpin, identified as Chukwudumebi, also known as Odumodu, was raided and his home turned upside down.
According to reports, he is suspected to be among those responsible for the recent killings of police officers in the state.
The operation was carried out following detailed intelligence gathering which yielded useful information that aided the operatives in the successful raid of his abode.
It has been reported that Odumodu, who is well-known in the area, has been involved in several heinous acts, some of which include forcefully adopting young girls and marrying them off against their will.
Investigations revealed that the girls, who are from the Orlu zone of Imo state, were taken at different times and locations by Odumodu, who later made them swear oaths of secrecy and allegiance.
Following the raid, some of the girls told their harrowing tales of how they were kidnapped by Odumodu and kept against their will.
They were reportedly made to swear eternal loyalty to Odumodu and kept in hiding, where they were brainwashed and deprived of their basic rights as human beings.
The girls expressed their gratitude to the security operatives for coming to their rescue and bringing the terror kingpin to book.
The security operatives were able to gather that Odumodu used the girls for various clandestine activities, including sourcing for arms, spying on targets, and providing necessary information for his criminal activities.
It is not yet clear whether the girls were forced to engage in these activities or did so out of coercion, but investigations will continue until all the facts have been established.
In a similar vein, the police have issued a warning to other terror kingpins and criminal elements in the state, urging them to desist from carrying out any criminal activity or risk facing the full wrath of the law.
The Commissioner of Police has also advised residents to provide useful information that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of criminal elements in the state.
