Shooters seize four newborns from Anambra hospital

Shooters in the early hours of yesterday stormed a hospital in the Aguata council area of Anambra State, snatching away four newborns.

The assailants also made away with bloodstained wrappers and clothes of women who had just put to bed. As a result, the residents have raised the alarm that the incident could be for ritual purposes.

The unknown gunmen, suspected to be IPOB members, had threatened to make the State ungovernable for Soludo since, according to them, he had been using security operatives to harass them.

Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu said the command had not received any information about it, but he promised to make enquiries to ascertain the authenticity of the report.
