Singer Mayorkun Vows to Never Return to Calabar After Losing Diamond Necklace
Nigerian singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, has expressed his anger and frustration after his expensive diamond necklace was stolen at an event in Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State. “Calabar, you probably will never ever see me again. Good luck to other artistes coming, though,” he wrote, adding a red-faced emoji. He also posted a video of himself fuming and showing his bare neck, where the necklace used to be.
According to sources, the necklace was worth over N50 million and was a gift from his boss, Davido, who is known for his lavish lifestyle and love for jewelry. The necklace was reportedly snatched by some unknown persons while Mayorkun was performing on stage at the Calabar Festival, an annual cultural event that attracts thousands of visitors and tourists to the city.
