Soldier Kills Policeman Over Interception Of Collegue With Marij*ana

A police sergeant, Ahmed Ali, has been shot dead with the aid of some soldiers in Benisheikh town, Borno State. This happened after his group intercepted a military man in a car conveying Indian hemp.

Locals and safety sources stated that the incident befell at the town’s entry checkpoint around 10 am on Monday.

The soldier, in Acura car with the registration FKJ761AR, beat a security checkpoint and refused to give up despite police warning.

“His refusal to cease prompted the crack police crew to shoot at his tyre. This pressured him to stop; however in an effort to pressure the car to Benisheikh police station, Sgt Ali got shot by the soldiers.

“The soldier carrying the Indian hemp, recognized as Sgt U. Joseph, alongside with his different colleagues, tried to stop the Crack Squad from confiscating the vehicle, which led to the capturing and Sgt Ali who used to be reversing with the car got killed by using the bullet,” one of the security sources revealed.

Our correspondent gathered that the suspect is presently beneath the custody of the military, whilst the car is parked at the Benisheikh police station.

A supply from the military described the taking pictures as a mistake as a soldier named Ibrahim Waberi fired at the car in an attempt to give up it from being moved via the deceased.

“His shot mistakenly hit the deceased but the accused soldier is in custody for investigation,” he said.

An attempt to talk to the police failed as the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sani Kamilu Shatambaya, used to be on leave, and his deputy couldn’t be reached for comments.
