Sophia Momodu To Change Imade’s Surname
Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first child, Imade, has revealed her plan to change her daughter’s surname from Adeleke to Momodu.
During an exchange with some of her fans on Snapchat, Sophia alleged that she has been playing the role of both a mother and father to Imade.
She also agreed with some comments suggesting that Davido has turned their back on them since she moved on.
“Can’t wait to change her last name. I still think Momodu is good as I’m Mom and Dad,” wrote Sophia on Snapchat.
A month ago, Momodu took to her Twitter page to rant about men financially bullying women into staying with them.
Many people have reacted to Sophia’s decision to change her daughter’s surname to Momodu.
Some have shown their support, others think that Imade should keep her father’s name to maintain a connection to her heritage.
Davido is yet to make his position known on Sophia’s decision.
The famous musician and Sophia were in a publicized custody battle over their daughter a few years ago, but they have since put their differences aside and focused on co-parenting Imade.
