Returning students in the same category face a total charge of ₦69,360.00. Meanwhile, the College of Health Sciences outlines a more substantial fee structure. Freshers in this college are set to pay ₦254,640.00, consisting of ₦121,800.00 in university charges and ₦132,840.00 in faculty charges. Returning students face a total charge of ₦103,560.00.

However, this announcement has triggered widespread concern among students and parents, particularly given the economic challenges in Nigeria.

Many are expressing their frustrations on social media, highlighting the added burden this places on families already grappling with financial difficulties.

As the university gears up for the new academic session, the focus shifts to how these charges will impact the student body.

The statement, signed by the Acting Bursar, marks a crucial update for both incoming and returning students at the University of Ilorin, as they prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the upcoming academic year.

The heightened fees have intensified the ongoing dialogue about the affordability and accessibility of education.

Students and parents are eagerly awaiting further insights and responses from university authorities, as they grapple with the implications of these changes in a challenging economic environment.

The unfolding conversations underscore the broader debate on whether the pursuit of education remains #BetterByFar for the University of Ilorin’s student body.
