Teenager Dies of Drug Overdose After Night with Girl
A 19-year-old boy, identified as Lucky, lost his life to a drug overdose after having sex with a girl he met the night before.
The incident happened at Oton, near the Vigilante Checking Point, Sapele, Delta state on Tuesday, December 7.
Sources said that Lucky had consumed a lot of drugs before taking the girl home and paying her 50,000 naira for their encounter. They said that Lucky had sex with the girl twice, but then started to show signs of distress and smashed her phone on the floor.
The girl, who spoke to the police, said that she did not know that Lucky was suffering from the effects of drug use. She said that she realized that Lucky was not breathing around 4am and quickly left his house with his phone, but forgot her own phone there. When she returned to get it, Lucky’s neighbors noticed his absence and questioned her. Her nervous behavior aroused their suspicion and they discovered Lucky’s body. They then alerted the police and detained the girl.
The police confirmed the incident and said that they had taken both phones and Lucky’s body as evidence. They said that they were investigating the cause of death and the source of the drugs.
The police also said that they had not been able to locate Lucky’s family, but his neighbors said that he only talked about his deceased mother and his grandmother.
