June 22, 2024 – The eagerly awaited 2024 season of the Kwara Kiddies YEG League began today, showcasing the talents of young footballers across several exciting matches.
Matchday One Highlights
Match 1: KFA 2 – 0 Koller FA
The season opener saw KFA securing a solid victory over Koller FA with a scoreline of 2-0. Both goals were scored by Ajayi Caleb at the 21st and 26th minutes, leading him to be voted as the Man of the Match (MOTM) for his exceptional performance.
Match 2: Busari FA 0 – 3 Afrikan Kiddies
Afrikan Kiddies dominated Busari FA, winning 3-0. Goals came from Oluwanisola Ibrahim at the 22nd and 35th minutes, and Zakariyahu Abdulsalam at the 47th minute. Ibrahim, known as Chomi, was named Player of the Match (POTM) for his outstanding play, with the award presented by former Kwara United and ABS coach, Taofeek Baba Tunde (Skipo).
Match 3: La Planet 0 – 2 Solicitor FA
Solicitor FA triumphed over La Planet with a 2-0 victory, thanks to goals from Isiak Roqeeb in the 20th minute and Bashir Mubarak in the 24th minute.
Match 4: Gaa Akanbi Kids 1 – 1 Future Stars
A closely contested match between Gaa Akanbi Kids and Future Stars ended in a 1-1 draw. An own goal in the 21st minute gave Gaa Akanbi Kids the lead, but Future Stars equalized with a goal from Kosemani Alimi in the 47th minute.
Match 5: Makamz FA 2 – 2 HoneyKing FA
Makamz FA and HoneyKing FA played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Abdulwaheed Abibullahi and Aliu Mubarak scored for Makamz FA at the 30th and 46th minutes, respectively, while Suleiman and Mahmud Alameen scored for HoneyKing FA at the 2nd and 12th minutes.
Match 6: Achiever FA 4 – 0 Gidado FA
Achiever FA delivered a dominant performance against Gidado FA, winning 4-0. Goals were scored by Olojoku Ridwan at the 17th minute, Owolabi Abdulsamad at the 39th and 50th minutes, and Suleiman Mutiu at the 43rd minute.
