Track And Field Action Commences In Baruten Center For Kwara State Secondary Schools Championship

This morning, the Baruten Center in Okuta witnessed the commencement of events in the 2023 Kwara State Secondary Schools Track and Field Championship. Marking the continuation of the competition for the Kwara North Zone.

The program was organized by the Kwara State Sports Commission under the leadership of Mallam Bola Mogaji to revive secondary school sports and discover more talented youths

The event at the Okuta Center is significant as it concludes the zonal championships, with Kwara North being the last of the three designated zones—Kwara Central, South, and North.

Notably, Baruten local government is the hometown of the number three citizen of Kwara State, Honorable Salihu Yakubu Danlandi, the speaker of the 10th House of Assembly, Kwara State.

Olaide Ahli, the president of the Kwara Development Group, prayed for the people involved in the program, expressing optimism and gratitude. The initiative aims to revive sports and discover more raw talented youths across the state.

The grand finale of the championship is eagerly anticipated and will be held in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
