Two Kidnapped Lagos Teenagers Dumped Near River

 

Police rescue two kidnapped teenagers in Ogun State

Two teenagers who were kidnapped in Lagos State have been rescued by the police in Ogun State after they were found abandoned near a riverside.

 

The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday. She said the boys, Chindalu Umadi, 17, and Udeba David, 16, were kidnapped on Thursday morning in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, by two unknown men who forced them into a Toyota saloon car.

 

She said the boys had no memory of what happened to them during their captivity until they were discovered by police officers from the Oru Division, who were on patrol around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

 

Also, she said the officers rescued the boys and took them to the police station, where they were interviewed by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Mathew Ediae.

 

Also, the boys told the DPO that they were on their way to play football when they were abducted.

 

She said the police had contacted the parents of the boys, who had been searching for them throughout the day.

She said the parents were relieved to hear that their children were safe and sound and that they would be reunited with them after proper identification.

In conclusion, she commended the patrol team for their prompt response and professionalism and assured the public that the police would investigate the case and apprehend the culprits.
