Wizkid’s Mother Dolapo Jane Balogun Is Dead
The Nigerian music scene is in mourning as one of its brightest stars, Wizkid, has lost his mother today.
According to a source close to the singer, Mrs. Balogun passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.
She was a devoted mother who always supported her son’s musical career, often attending his concerts and events.
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is a Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and performer. He has not yet issued a public statement about his mother’s death.
Mrs. Balogun was more than just a mother to Wizkid. She was also his biggest fan and cheerleader, who encouraged him to pursue his passion for music.
