Woman Goes Missing During Church Programme In Ogun

A 54-year-old woman, Eno Okon, has been declared missing after she attended the annual programme of a Pentecostal church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on August 11.

According to PRISTINEGIST, Eno, who lives in the Adesan area of Mowe, Ogun State, followed her neighbour who invited her to the programme. She reportedly left her seat around 2 a.m. to use the restroom and did not return.

Her husband, Okon, who spoke with PRISTINEGIST on Wednesday, said he had been searching for her since then without any success.

He said he and his wife moved from Lagos to Mowe some years ago and that she was not familiar with the area.

He said he reported the incident to three police stations in Mowe, Sagamu and on the church premises. He also said he informed the church authorities who announced it during the Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.

He appealed to anyone with useful information about his wife’s whereabouts to contact him or the nearest police station.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, however, said she was not aware of the case and asked for a text message to follow up. She did not reply to the text message as of press time.
