Today, 27th of June 2023, the World Bank has approved a loan of $500 million (equivalent to N387 billion) to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

This financial assistance is intended to bolster Nigeria’s efforts in promoting women’s empowerment throughout the country.

The approved loan, known as the Nigeria Women Program Scale Up (NFWP-SU), builds upon the initial financing of $100 million granted by the World Bank on June 27, 2018.
